Horus statue - £60.00
The God Horus Protecting King Nectanebo II statue 360-343 BC
In the earliest Dynasties, ancient egyptians believed that their king was divine, and was a new incarnation of the great sky god, Horus, who was the protector of the human king.
The association between the king and the god Horus has been represented in statuary as early as the 4th Dynasty, as illustrated in the famous seated statue that is housed in the Egyptian Museum, in Cairo.
