Ramesses II - £28.00
Ramesses II at the battle of Kadesh
Ramses II began his reign in 1301BC. He was a ferocious warrior and used the loot from his campaigns to fund enormous building projects, such as the massive rock temple at Abu Simbel. It is said that Ramesses was the Pharaoh at the time of the Exodus, when Moses led the Jewish slaves out of Egypt.
This commemorative plate depicts Ramesses II at the battle of Kadesh in his victory against the Hittites.
